Out of band Dial-Up Diagnostics

Advanced Network Products has been using out of band dial-up diagnostics for years to access our customers routers when their Frame relay circuit has failed.  By dialing around the failure our NOC personnel can quickly connect to your router and determine the nature of the problem or re-configure the router. 

We require our customers to install a low cost dial-up modem to all equipment that we manage on a WAN.  Our experience has shown time and again that a dial-up modem can have a positive impact on meant time to repair.  Our NOC personnel can dial-in and we can quickly determine if we have a router failure, power failure or a Telco circuit failure.  Without that dial-in visibility, we would be forced to dispatch a service engineer, and wait until they arrive on site to do what we could have done in minutes instead of hours.
