Get Festive with Teams

We’re all missing the annual office holiday party that we look forward to every year. But just because it’s 2020 doesn’t mean you have to ditch your celebration altogether!

Companies across the globe, including ANP, are using Microsoft Teams to host virtual holiday parties and to spread joy this holiday season.

Microsoft recently added several new experiences in Teams including new holiday themed Together mode scenes and custom backgrounds.

Together Mode has a new winter wonderland scene to help bring the holiday spirit to your team. add a dash of holiday spirit that’s perfect for hosting a virtual holiday party with your team.

New together mode scenes are not just for the holiday either. They have several scenes that can be used year-round that can transport your team to a variety of settings including a coffee shopconference roomclassroom, and more. Halo fans can even gather for their next important meeting in the United Nations Space Command. With these new scenes, it will feel easier than ever for your team to do everything from tackling a tough problem to hosting a holiday party.

To access the new together mode scenes, select Together mode from the drop-down menu, then click the small pencil in the left-hand corner of the screen to choose a scene. Note that together mode does require at least five people in your meeting.

If you want to get festive but are have meetings with less than 5 people present, don’t worry, there’s an option for you too. New holiday-themed custom backgrounds for standard meetings and video calls have been added to the mix. Add new backgrounds you like from this link —holiday backgrounds are available here. Then, while you’re setting up your video and audio before joining a meeting, select Background effects, click Add new, and then select a background to upload from your computer.
